Frequently asked questions.

How long is each program?

The Master Esthetics Program consists of 1200 hours completed over 32 weeks. The Lash & Brow Technician Program includes 270 hours and is designed to be finished in 9–12 weeks. Permit Program schedules will be adjusted according to updated state regulations; however, at this time, they run concurrently at 20–30 hours per week until all required hours are completed.

Do I need a license to do esthetics, lashes, or brows in Utah?

Yes—Utah requires a Lash & Brow Technician license to perform lash and brow services, and an Esthetics license to offer esthetic services. Beauty Brand Academy proudly offers both programs.

Is the school/course licensed/approved by the state Utah Division of Professional Licensing (DOPL)?

Yes, Beauty Brand Academy is a Utah State-accredited post-secondary institution, and every instructor is certified with an Esthetics Instructor license.

Is demand for estheticians and beauty professionals good in Utah?

Nationwide, approximately 14,500 esthetician job openings are expected each year over the next decade, driven both by overall job growth and by turnover or retirements. In Utah, the demand is even stronger, with estimates projecting a 34% increase in esthetician jobs by 2032.

How many students are in each class, and what is the student-to-instructor ratio?

Our “studio meets classroom” training at Beauty Brand Academy features intimate class sizes of 6–8 students, so each student receives individualized instruction and support.
